Dear Patient: 

 

We have been thinking about you and hope that you and your family are safe and healthy. Everyone has been through a lot and is ready to start normal routines again. WE ARE EXCITED TO GET BACK TO SERVING YOU!  We also want to reassure you that your health safety at DeWitt Dental is our number one goal. 

We are slowly ramping up seeing nonemergencies and cleanings. We know many of you have had appointments cancelled. Please be patient and we will be in touch with you to reschedule those appointments.  We will be going through the cancelled appointments in chronological order to reschedule you all.  If you call the office we will not be able to schedule you unless you have an emergency. So please only call our office if you have an emergency.  

We are following the most recent advice from the American Dental Association (ADA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA and our professional organizations to make changes.

    Some changes include: 

  • We will contact you via txt/phone call for screening questions prior to your appointment. Once at the office please stay in your car and call us to let us know you have arrived at   517-669-2225 by txting or calling and we will let you know when to come in. We may ask you to wait in your car until we are ready for your appointment to start.
  • Please use the hand sanitizer that we have available when you come into the office. 
  • We have removed hard-to-disinfect items in the waiting room to make it easier to clean more frequently during the day. 
  • We have installed Hepa True Filters throughout the office to increase office air cleanliness.  
  • We are allowing more time between appointments to allow for social distancing between   patients. 
  • We also ask that you come into the office alone. If necessary, one caregiver or guardian for a minor may come in with the patient. They will be asked to come back with the patient. This will limit the number of people in our waiting area.
  • We may take your temperature before your appointment. 
  • You may see that all staff, including the front office staff, will be wearing masks. 
  • We ask that everyone who enters the office wear a face covering or mask. 
  • There may be other changes as we try to keep social distancing to six feet. 

    Due to the limited number of appointments we will be strictly enforcing our no show/less than 24 hour appointment cancelation policy.  So if there are any changes or you are unable to make your scheduled appointment please call us as soon as you can.  If you have any COVID symptoms or a fever please stay home, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.  Failure to notify us that you are unable to come in or the need to reschedule will result in an additional fee.
